Tutankhamun senet board game was discovered in the tomb of tutankhamun (reigned c 1334_1325 bc) a pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of ancient egypt in the valley of the kings ( Egypt) which became famous for the wealth of treasure it contained . The tomb was discovered in November 4,1922 by Howard Carter.
It rests on a stand and has four legs carved in feline form the claws of animal shaped of Ivory and attached to sleds.
The upper and lower surfaces of the board are covered with ivory and divided into sections and there are symbols are finely engraved and filled in with black pigment, The game board contains a drawer used to store playing pieces.
The top side of the board is divided into 30 squares for Senet; The purpose is to move all the pieces
